The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce the induction of former Cégep Garneau Élans women's soccer head coach David Desloges into the CCAA Hall of Fame.
Reflecting on his coaching career, Desloges recalls the many national championship experiences and the relationships built along the way. "There are so many memorable moments," said Desloges. "Participating in numerous national championships, each with its own unique experience, was special. What stands out most are the relationships created with the student-athletes and fellow coaches, both on and off the field." Among those memories, one moment stands above the rest: winning the 2011 CCAA Women's Soccer National Championship on home soil. "The victory in 2011 was particularly meaningful because we were able to share it with our families, friends, and supporters," he said. "It remains one of the most memorable moments of my career." Representing Cégep Garneau remains a source of great pride for Desloges, who credits the institution's commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. "I had the privilege of representing an institution that achieved tremendous athletic success while developing student-athletes through strong human values," he said. "I feel fortunate to have contributed to the growth of so many young women throughout their journeys." The news of his Hall of Fame induction brought a profound sense of gratitude and reflection. "It is an immense honour and a meaningful recognition of many years of passion and commitment," said Desloges. "It is a distinction that touches me deeply and one that I share with everyone who was part of the journey." Looking back, Desloges is most proud of the impact he had on the lives of his student-athletes and the culture that was built within the program. Through his leadership, dedication, and lasting influence on one of the most successful programs in CCAA women's soccer history, David Desloges leaves a legacy that continues to inspire future generations of student-athletes and coaches. David Desloges was officially welcomed into the CCAA Hall of Fame during a special celebration on June 16 at Cégep Montmorency, recognizing his outstanding contributions to collegiate athletics in Canada. |

One of the most successful coaches in CCAA women's soccer history, Desloges took over the Élans women's soccer program in 2006 and quickly transformed it into a national powerhouse. During his tenure, Garneau captured 11 consecutive provincial championships and earned nine medals at the CCAA Women's Soccer National Championship, including six gold medals. His remarkable success was recognized in 2008 when he was named CCAA Coach of the Year.
