The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce the induction of former Cégep Limoilou Titans men's volleyball standout Éric LeBreton into the CCAA Hall of Fame. A dominant presence on the court, LeBreton was recognized for his exceptional athleticism, versatility, and high volleyball IQ throughout his collegiate career. From 1994 to 1997, he helped establish the Titans among the nation's elite programs, earning three consecutive CCAA All-Canadian selections from 1995 to 1997.
Reflecting on his collegiate career, LeBreton recalls the journey that led to the ultimate prize in his final season. "Finalists in 1995 and 1996, then national champions in 1997," said LeBreton. "Experiencing two championship finals and then winning it all was a wonderful way to complete my CCAA career."
Representing Cégep Limoilou proved to be a transformative experience for LeBreton, both as an athlete and as a person. "The level of competition in the CCAA was extremely high, and Limoilou's standards pushed me to develop beyond my expectations," he said. "It was an enriching experience from both an athletic and personal perspective." The news of his Hall of Fame induction brought reflection on the challenges he faced early in his collegiate journey. "After only four months, I seriously questioned my decision to continue," recalled LeBreton. "Being away from home, adapting to school, and managing the demands of training were significant challenges. This honour reminds me of the importance of perseverance and following what you truly love." Looking back, LeBreton is most proud of having left his home in New Brunswick to pursue a sport-study experience that shaped the rest of his life. Through his accomplishments, leadership, and lasting impact on one of the CCAA's most successful volleyball programs, Éric LeBreton leaves a legacy that continues to inspire future generations of student-athletes. Éric LeBreton was officially welcomed into the CCAA Hall of Fame during a special celebration on June 16 at Cégep Montmorency, recognizing his outstanding contributions to collegiate athletics in Canada.

His impressive résumé includes one CCAA national championship, two silver medals, CCAA Player of the Year honours, and recognition as the Most Valuable Player of the 1997 CCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship. He was also named to the Championship First All-Star Team on two occasions.
Among his many accomplishments, helping return Limoilou to the top of Canadian collegiate volleyball remains his most memorable achievement. "Winning the national championship in 1997 allowed us to put Limoilou back on top of the CCAA," he said. "That match represents one of our greatest accomplishments and makes us proud to be part of the Titans' championship tradition."
