Alex Siderenko inducted into CCAA Hall of Fame

The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce the induction of Alex Siderenko into the CCAA Hall of Fame in the Builder category.
From 1979 to 1992, Siderenko served as CCAA Men's Basketball National Convenor, providing leadership and guidance to one of the association's premier sports for 13 seasons. Through his commitment to excellence and collaboration, he helped strengthen the national championship experience and support the continued development of collegiate basketball across Canada. Following his tenure as Men's Basketball National Convenor, Siderenko continued his service to the association as CCAA Vice-President of Sports Development and Leadership from 1992 to 1994. In this role, he contributed to the advancement of collegiate sport at the national level and helped shape the direction of the association during a period of continued growth. Over 15 years of service to the CCAA, Siderenko demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student-athletes, coaches, and member institutions. His leadership and dedication helped lay a foundation that continues to support collegiate athletics in Canada today. Through his vision, service, and lasting contributions to the CCAA, Alex Siderenko leaves a legacy that continues to benefit generations of student-athletes and sport leaders. Alex Siderenko was posthumously inducted into the CCAA Hall of Fame during a special celebration on June 16 at Cégep Montmorency. His wife, Cathy, accepted the honour on his behalf.
