Medicine Hat College to Host 2025 CCAA Golf National Championships

Medicine Hat College (MHC)will host the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Golf National Championships, presented by PING. The event will occur at the Desert Blume Golf Club, renowned for its challenging layout and stunning surrounding coolees. Opened in 2007, Desert Blume is a par 72 championship golf course. The course is known for its meticulously maintained fairways and greens, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and competitive challenge.
“The CCAA is excited to have the national golf championships return west to Medicine Hat, Alberta. Medicine Hat College has a history of successful conference and national championships in many sports and we know the 2025 National Golf Championships will not disappoint. The Rattlers community of staff and volunteers always seem to find a way to make the championships one to remember for those involved and we are confident that they will continue to do so in 2025.” said Bob Murray, CCAA Golf Convenor. Medicine Hat College has a strong history of hosting provincial and national events, including several ACAC and CCAA championships. The Rattlers have recently hosted events such as the 2022 CCAA Cross Country Running National Championships and the 2018 CCAA Golf National Championships, receiving excellent participant feedback. Terry Ballard, Medicine Hat Rattlers Athletic director commented, “Medicine Hat College and Rattlers Athletics is very excited to have been awarded the 2025 CCAA Ping Golf National Championships. We will draw on our many recent hosting experiences to provide an outstanding student-athlete experience – both on and off the golf course. Desert Blume Golf Club will be the host course for this championship, and will present a great challenge for the golfers and provide stunning views. Our many Rattler volunteers are looking forward to this event and are prepared to do whatever it takes to ensure everything operates smoothly and efficiently, and that the golfers leave with some great memories of Medicine Hat.” The 2024 CCAA Golf National Championships are being hosted this week by Humber College in King, Ontario. |
