| Match 5 – Bronze Quarterfinal: Augustana Vikings 3, Assiniboine College Cougars 1
The opening match of Day 2 at the CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship saw the Augustana Vikings defeat the Assiniboine College Cougars in four sets (25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23) to advance in the bronze bracket.
Taryn Watson was named the Augustana Player of the Game after recording 14 kills and 10 digs to help lead the Vikings to victory. Hadley Ziemmer continued her strong play at the championship with 14 kills, 10 digs, and two blocks, while setter Phaedra Bruens contributed 23 assists running the Augustana offence.
For the Cougars, CCAA All-Canadian Kylee Peaks earned the Assiniboine Player of the Game honours with an outstanding all-around performance, leading the match with 16 kills, 17 digs, and three service aces. Setter Tyra Lasuik added 33 assists and 11 digs in the effort.
Assiniboine College will play in the placement game on Friday at 3 p.m., while the Augustana Vikings advance to the bronze semifinal scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m.

Match 6 – Bronze Quarterfinal: Mount Allison Mounties 3, Providence University College Pilots 2 The second bronze quarterfinal of Day 2 saw the Mount Allison Mounties rally for a comeback victory over host Providence University College in five sets (20-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-18, 15-11). In front of a loud and energetic crowd, the Mounties responded after dropping the opening two sets, winning the final three to advance in the bronze bracket.
Ana McCain was named the Mount Allison Player of the Game after a standout all-around performance, finishing with 24 assists, 10 kills, and 10 digs. Chloe Palmer led the Mounties offensively with a match-high 15 kills, while Kaia MacDougall made her presence felt with four service aces and five blocks.
For the Pilots, Georgia Friesen earned the Providence Player of the Game honours after directing the offence with 36 assists while adding three service aces and five digs. Sydney Turenne led the Pilots with 14 kills, while Tyra Peters contributed 11 kills and 16 digs.
Providence University College will face Assiniboine College in the placement game on Friday at 3 p.m., while the Mount Allison Mounties advance to the bronze semifinal scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.

Match 7 – National Semifinal: Lynx d’Édouard-Montpetit 3, Vancouver Island University Mariners 2 The first national semifinal delivered another dramatic five-set battle, as the Lynx d’Édouard-Montpetit defeated the Vancouver Island University Mariners (24-26, 25-23, 20-25, 25-15, 15-10). Trailing 1-0 and again 2-1 in sets, the Lynx responded with strong defensive play and effective net presence, recording more than twice the blocks than VIU. Marilou Robichaud was named the Lynx Player of the Game after a dominant performance at the net, finishing with six blocks, seven kills, and four service aces while hitting at a .429 efficiency. Sophie Tatasciore led all players offensively with 17 kills, while Melody Lahaie anchored the defence with 16 digs. Setter and All-Canadian Marilou Durocher facilitated the offence with 47 assists.
For the Mariners, Regan Ingram earned the VIU Player of the Game honours after leading her team with 16 kills while adding three blocks and nine digs. Grace Brisebois contributed 15 kills and a strong defensive effort with 22 digs, while setter Edan Wiebe recorded 39 assists.
Vancouver Island University will face the Mount Allison Mounties in the bronze semifinal on Friday at 6 p.m. The Lynx d’Édouard-Montpetit advance to the national final scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m

Match 8 – National Semifinal: Lakeland College Rustlers 3, Humber Hawks 0
The second national semifinal saw the Lakeland College Rustlers defeat the Humber Hawks in straight sets (25-13, 25-17, 25-22). The three-time defending national champions showcased their experience and depth, controlling much of the match to secure their place in the championship final.
Raegan Nicol was named the Lakeland Player of the Game after a strong performance at the net, finishing with six blocks, six kills, and one service ace. Carly Hawryluk led the Rustlers offensively with seven kills, while Seanna Trumier anchored the defence with 10 digs. Setter Katelyn Mazurkewich directed the offence efficiently, recording 24 assists.
For the Hawks, Faith Hughes earned the Humber Player of the Game honours after posting seven kills on an impressive .417 hitting percentage, along with two service aces and one block. Keyome Ellis contributed eight kills and two blocks, while Caitlyn Labelle recorded 10 digs.
The Humber Hawks will face the Augustana Vikings in the bronze semifinal on Friday at 8 p.m. The Lakeland College Rustlers advance to the national final where they will meet the Lynx d’Édouard-Montpetit on Saturday at 4 p.m.
