Mohawk College to Host 2027 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship

The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is pleased to announce Mohawk College as the host of the 2027 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship, set to take place in Hamilton, Ont. Mohawk College brings a strong tradition of basketball excellence and a proven track record of hosting national championships to the event.

The Mohawk Mountaineers men’s basketball program has a proud history within the CCAA, highlighted by a national championship title in 2011-12, along with numerous provincial medals. Mohawk College has also established itself as a trusted championship host, most recently welcoming the 2023 CCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship and previously hosting the 2014-15 CCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.

We are proud of our experience as hosts, from the 2023 CCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship to several provincial championships, and we are excited to once again deliver an exceptional championship environment. This event will allow us to showcase Hamilton’s love for the game, our campus, and the strong community that surrounds basketball in this city.”

These elements make Hamilton an ideal destination for a national championship.

The 2026 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship will be hosted by Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, British Columbia, from March 18 to 21, 2026.
