Hawks soar to eighth CCAA Men's Basketball Championship

CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL The Durham Lords vied for gold against the Humber Hawks in the final game of the CCAA Championship. Humber’s #14 Adrian Aluyi scored the first points for his team less than a minute after the quarter began. Adopting an aggressive offensive approach, the Lords took the lead back halfway through the first quarter that ended with the Lords leading 20-16. Durham managed to stay ahead during the second quarter thanks to their strong defensive and offensive control of the court. The score at the end of the quarter was 35-27 for the Durham Lords. Congratulations to the Humber Hawks on winning the 2025 CCAA Gold Medal and the Durham Lords on winning the Silver Medal! |

BRONZE FINAL The face-off for Bronze Medal took place between the Vanier Cheetahs and the Dynamiques de Brébeuf. The first quarter began with a strong offensive from both teams. The Cheetahs took the lead when #6 Jason Junior Ebinumolise scored right after entering the court. The Dynamiques also made their mark with a steal followed by a successful shot by #13 Giorgio Azzi. The quarter ended with a score of 16-9 in favour of the Cheetahs. In the second quarter, the Dynamiques took advantage of most of their rebound opportunities. Notably, #11 Édouard Gauthier scored a 3-pointer after Brébeuf managed to steal the ball from the Cheetahs. The score remained tied 28-28 during the last minutes of the quarter.
