Hockey fans will be treated to a Thanksgiving weekend special with the Collegiate Women’s Hockey Showcase “Island Cup” set to debut. The Holland Hurricanes are hosting the SAIT Trojans from Calgary, Diablos du Cégep de Trois-Rivieres, CBU Capers and Mount Academy Saints at this inaugural event at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown, P.E.I. *While the “Island Cup” is not a CCAA sanctioned event it is an important step in women's hockey development in Canadian Collegiate Athletics. |

Les Nomades de Montmorency (5-2-1) have a one-point lead on the Champlain Saint-Lambert Cavaliers (4-1-3) and Aigles d’Ahuntsic (4-1-3) with just two weeks remaining in the regular season. Montmorency (CCAA No. 10) earned an earlier 1-0 victory over Saint-Lambert (CCAA No. 3) so this rematch will be crucial for playoff seeding. |

The Humber Hawks (8-0-1) and Fanshawe Falcons (7-1-0) are currently ranked first and fourth in the CCAA and looking to lock up home field advantage for the Conference playoffs. |

Les Rouges de Saint-Boniface (6-0-3) are hosting a top of the table matchup in the MCAC this weekend as they welcome the Brandon Bobcats (3-1-5) to the capital. While USB (CCAA No. 9) remains undefeated this season, they have yet to earn a win against the feisty Bobcats, playing to draws with BU in their previous two matchups. |

The Concordia Thunder (9-0-0) have been barnstorming through the ACAC North but they are hosting the second place Keyano Huskies this weekend (5-2-1). Both the Thunder (CCA No. 5) and Huskies are significant league leaders in Goals For & Against, but CUE claimed a narrow 2-1 victory over Keyano in their season opening match. |
