Bronze Quarterfinal 1: Université Sainte-Anne Dragons 3 vs. Cégep de l’Outaouais Griffons 1Day 2’s opening match showcased the Université Sainte-Anne Dragons versus Cégep de l’Outaouais Griffons fighting in a bronze medal quarterfinal. The Griffons held an early lead, racking up 13 kills, to take the first set (25-21). Ethan Aucoin kicked off the second set with a service ace for the Dragons. The Nova Scotian team found their offensive rhythm and finished the second set with a kill by Braidey Spinney (25-18). Despite the Griffons strong defensive start in the third set, and a long series of exchanging points, the Dragons scored several kills to finish the third set (25-19). In the fourth set, the Griffons came back with their familiar offensive power, forcing the Dragons to battle back from a 7-point deficit in the middle of the set. After tying the set at 22 points, the two teams went point-for-point until the Dragons secured their match with a win in the fourth set (29-27). Cégep de l’Outaouais Griffons will play in the 3:00pm placement match on Friday. The Université Sainte-Anne Dragons continue their chase for bronze in Friday’s 6:00 pm semifinal. The 4Imprint Player of the Match title was awarded to Dragons’ libero, Vincent Doucet, who tallied 11 digs. Olivier Boulay, contributing 4 kills and 1 ace, was named Cégep de l’Outaouais Griffons Player of the Match. |

Bronze Quarterfinal 2: College of the Rockies Avalanche 3 vs. Providence Pilots 1The second bronze medal quarterfinal of Day 2 pitted the host team, Providence University College Pilots, against the College of the Rockies Avalanche. Despite the strong home crowd turnout for the Pilots, the Avalanche set the pace with 4 aces and 10 kills to win the first set (25-17). The Pilots maintained the lead throughout the second set, recording 6 blocks, to win the second set (25-16). The Avalanche opened the third set with 3 consecutive kills, 2 from Diego Policarpo, continuing their earlier offensive dominance. The Pilots attempted to rally back, but came up short in the third set (25-16). The Pilots proved to be a tough opponent until the end, but the Avalanche secured the match in the fourth set (25-21). Providence University College Pilots will meet Cégep de l’Outaouais Griffons in the 7/8th placement match on Friday at 3:00 pm. The College of the Rockies Avalanche earned a spot in the 8:00 pm bronze semifinal versus the Université Sainte-Anne Dragons. Tallying 2 aces, 9 kills, and 3 blocks, Luke Margenau of the College of the Rockies was named 4Imprint Player of the Match. Hector Ortiz, libero, earned the Pilots' Player of the Match title. |

Semifinal 1: Douglas Royals 3 vs. CMU 0The Douglas College Royals advance to the National Championship Final with a decisive three-set victory over the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers. The Royals established control early in the first set, overcoming the Blazers' defensive struggles (25-17). The second set saw the Blazers briefly take their first lead of the match, despite the Royals' significant advantage in kills (16-6). The Royals soon regained momentum, securing the set with an ace from Luke Hans (25-19). The third and final set was marked by several long fought rallies. The Blazers couldn’t recover from their 10 point deficit, but made the Royals fight for their final two points (25-13). The Canadian Mennonite University Blazers will compete against the College of the Rockies Avalanche in the bronze medal semifinal at 8:00 PM on Friday. The Douglas College Royals will play for the gold medal on Saturday at 7:00 PM. Blazers' fourth-year setter, David Nelson, was awarded the 4Imprint Player of the Match. Royals' fifth-year setter, Elijah Kim, received the title of Royals Player of the Match. |

Semifinal 2: Red Deer Polytechnic Kings 3 vs. Humber Polytechnic Hawks 0The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings have punched their ticket to the Gold Medal Final after another sweep, this time against the Humber Polytechnic Hawks in the final match of Day 2. The Kings started strong, but the Hawks would force them – thanks to back-to-back aces from Teyven Blackmore – into extra points before the end of the first set (26-24). The Hawks carried their momentum into the second set, but were unable to maintain it, falling to the Kings (25-23). Despite the Hawks' attempts to regroup, the Kings delivered a dominant performance in the third set, recording 7 aces to clinch their spot in the Championship Final (25-10). The Humber Polytechnic Hawks now face Université Sainte-Anne Dragons in a bronze semifinal at 6:00 pm on Friday. The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings now play for gold against the Douglas College Royals on Saturday. Kyle Gray-Phillips, with 7 kills, was named 4Imprint Player of the Match for the Hawks. Racking up 12 kills, 7 digs, and 4 aces, the Kings’ Player of the Match was Colby Nemeth. |
