2009 CCAA National Women’s Soccer Champions  
2009 Undefeated season – 13-0-2  
2nd in goal leaders – 10 goals (1.0 goals per game)

Alesha Weicker was a huge part of the Thunders journey to it’s first ever CCAA National Championship. Over the course of the tournament Alesha scored 1 goal and assisted on a second.  In addition to being named player of the game in the teams opening round shoot out victory over Humber, Alesha has been a steady force for the Thunder and was named the MVP of the National Tournament, her tireless effort and leadership have been key components of Concordia’s perfect season in which the Thunder Finish 2009 with a 13-0-2 record.

 Alesha is a fourth year Business student from St. Albert, AB.

Willy Kimosop defended his national titile this past weekend at the CCAA Cross Country National Championships in Camrose, AB. Willy Helped lead the Kodiaks to win the Men’s Cross Country title as well as Kodiaks finished 1st and second. Kimosop is no stranger to success as he has run undefeated for the last two years in all post secondary races, He was the 2009 ACAC Grand Prix overall men’s winner after winning all four Grand Prix races in Alberta at the SAIT, NAIT, Red Deer and Lethbridge/Pumpkin run races.

Willy Kimosop also won the Vancouver’s 2009 Sun Run the second largest road race in the world by eight seconds this summer.
