2009 CCAA Women’s Volleyball Coach of the Year

ChrisWilkinsThe 2009 CCAA Women’s Volleyball Coach of the Year is Chris Wilkins, from Humber College.

Chris led the Hawks to a perfect 21-0 undefeated season in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) league play.  Under his leadership and coaching, the Hawks successfully defended their Provincial title earning them a chance to vie for National gold at the CCAA National Championships being held at Nipissing University.

It is a sense of pride that motivates Chris as head coach.  Pride in his program, his association with Humber Athletics, and his student athletes.  Over the past eleven years the Hawks have captured 10 Provincial medals, 5 of them gold.  Continually striving towards excellence, the Hawks have competed at the highest levels and year in and year out, Chris’s goal is to win a National Championship.

Coach Wilkins takes great care in helping his student athletes select their best direction for study, to ensure a future career and success in the program.  His women’s volleyball team continues to be the most successful academically at Humber College.

Coach of the Year recipients receive a CCAA customized ring provided by Jostens Canada, the Official Ring supplier of the CCAA Championship Awards Banquet.
