CCAA Women's Soccer History
Women's Soccer History
Women's Soccer began as an invitational CCAA tournament in 1991, receiving National Championship status the following year. John Abbott College in Montreal hosted the event in 1992 with the host team securing the gold medal in a 1-0 victory over Vancouver Community College. In that same year College de Sherbrooke won the bronze medal.
Today the National Women's Soccer Championship features the top 6 College teams in Canada, including five conference champions and a host team.
