F-X-Garneau Élans Claim Second Consecutive Title at 2011 CCAA Women's Soccer National Championships
November 12, 2011 - The Élans de Collège François-Xavier-Garneau of Quebec, QC have won the CCAA women's soccer title for the second year in a row.
The Élans claimed victory on their home field in the gold-medal game with a final score of 2-1 over the NAIT Ooks of Edmonton, Alta. If the results provide a sense of déjà vu, it's for good reason. The same two teams faced off at the 2010 CCAA Big Kahuna Women Soccer National Championships, where the Élans previously took home the national title.
It is the Élans` sixth CCAA national championships title in women`s soccer, making them the winningest squad in canadian collegiate women`s soccer history.
