2011 CCAA Women’s Soccer Players of the Month
November 4, 2011 - The CCAA has listed the CCAA Soccer Athletes of the Month for October. The CCAA Athlete of the Month program recognizes student-athletes for their outstanding performance and athletic accomplishments during that month.
The distinction is bestowed upon one male and one female student-athlete in each of the five CCAA member conferences; PACWEST, ACAC, OCAA, RSEQ and ACAA.

PACWEST
Shanay Sangha, Kwantlen Eagles
Sangha is co-captain of the Kwantlen women’s soccer team and a player who leads by example in everything she does. She balances an excellent academic record with impressive PACWEST scoring results; she is first in the conference with 11 goals in 12 games. She was also named PACWEST's Women's Soccer Player of the Year.

ACAC
Lindsay Boland, Condordia Thunder
Lindsay Boland had an outstanding month with the Concordia Thunder. Battling back from an injury, she found her stride and put away eight goals in the month of October. But despite the impressive numbers, it is Lindsay's attitude that makes her so important to the team. The single mother of two has proven herself to be the fittest player on the team. She is an example of what we can all strive to be with her positive outlook, incredible work ethic and dedication to everything she commits to in her life.

OCAA
Keyla Moreno, Humber Hawks
October has been a month full of OCAA accolades for Keyla Moreno; she's been named an All-Star, 2011 Championships MVP, 2011 Player of the Year, and took the conference championships with the Humber Hawks, who are contending for the 2011 CCAA Soccer National Championships.

RSEQ
Gabrielle Lapointe, Dynamiques du Ste Foy
Lapointe spent the 2011 season helping coaches and her fellow returning players train 14 new recruits. Lapointe even postponed an operation to be able to finish the season with her team. She took out all the stops to bring this young group to a third-place finish in the RSEQ by the end of October.

ACAA
Allison Smith, UKC Blue Devils
Smith has made many contributions to her team but her most significant this year has been in scoring; she’s had 14 goals this season. She is a big talented offensive player who is difficult to stop any time she has the ball. She’s played a major role in the Blue Devil’s undefeated season and ACAA Championship title, and they’ve qualified for the 2011 CCAA Soccer National Championships.
Congratulations to all athletes on their performances this month!
