Women’s Teams Confirmed for 2011 CCAA Soccer National Championships

SoccerLogo200October 31, 2011 – The CCAA (Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association) has confirmed the six women’s teams playing at the 2011 CCAA Soccer National Championships at Collège Francois-Xavier-Garneau in Quebec City.

 

The event will take place from Tuesday, November 8 to Saturday, November 12.

The 2011 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championships includes six teams, two of which are filled by the RSEQ host conference.

The Collège François -Xavier-Garneau Élans earned the RSEQ championship berth, and the Collège Ahuntsic Indiennes will compete as RSEQ silver medalists. The remaining spots are allotted to champions from the other CCAA’s member conferences.

The following teams will compete:

TRU Wolf Pack (PACWEST champion)
NAIT Ooks (ACAC champion)
Humber College Hawks (OCAA champion)
Élans du Collège François-Xavier-Garneau (RSEQ champion, host and defending 2010 CCAA champions)
Indiennes du Collège Ahuntsic (RSEQ silver medalist)
University of King’s College Blue Devils (ACAA champion)

News, schedules and results from the 2011 CCAA Soccer National Championships will be available on the official website.

The five-day event kicks off Tuesday, November 8 with the CCAA All-Canadian Banquet.

Competition begins on Wednesday, November 9 and runs through Saturday, November 12. Games will be played at Collège François-Xavier-Garneau and Université Laval.
