2008 CCAA Women's Soccer Coach of the Year
David Desloges is the recipient of the 2008 CCAA Women's Soccer Coach of the Year award.
David led the Collège François-Xavier-Garneau Elans to an undefeated 9-0 season. With nine returning players, David has built a team that has more depth, is cohesive and physically fit.
As part of his coaching goals, David prides himself in providing an environment that combines work and pleasure, just as in life. He strongly encourages and continuously enables his student-athletes to reach their ultimate goals, helping them to perform to their individual best.
David is always available to help his athletes off the field. Due to his employment as Facilities Manager at an indoor soccer facility, he has been able to offer employment to his student-athletes as well as offering them a high quality training facility. David also recognizes the importance of academic progress and success. He has helped student-athletes in need, to obtain additional help with their academic studies to ensure scholastic success.
Outside of the Elans program, David's also coaches a club team and volunteers many hours working with young soccer players.
Coach of the Year recipients receive a CCAA customized ring provided by Jostens Canada, the Official Ring supplier of the CCAA Championship Awards Banquet.
