Mount Royal College's Ashley Dixon is the winner of the 2008 CCAA Women's Soccer Player of the Year.

Ashley is one of the most celebrated and experienced defenders in the ACAC.  She is the catalyst behind the Cougars number one ranked defense, which allowed only two goals during 2008/2009 season helping the team earn eight shutouts in ten games.   Ashley was ranked tenth in the ACAC South Division with 3 goals, an impressive statistic for a defender.

Ashley's outstanding skills and abilities have merited her numerous athletic awards and accolades, including: 2007-2008 ACAC All Star, 2007-2008 CCAA All Canadian, 2007-2008 CCAA Soccer Nationals Tournament All Star, 2007-2008 Mount Royal Female Athlete of the Year.

Player of the Year recipients receive a CCAA customized ring provided by Jostens Canada, the Official Ring Supplier of the CCAA Championship Awards Banquet.
