Heather has been selected as the CCAA's Athlete of the Week following her women's double's win with sister Carrie at the ACAA badminton championships. Heather was also selected earlier as the CCAA January Athlete of the Month, representing the ACAA in badminton for 2010.

Heather has proven to be one of the top female athletes in the league this season, having won every match in all tournaments that have taken place. Heather was voted league rookie of the year in 2009 and as well, Mount Allison's team rookie and attended her first national tournament at Humber College, where she and her partner competed in women's doubles. Heather has displayed confidence and leadership this term and with the conference championships now complete, Heather and sister Carrie have won in women's doubles once again and will be heading to NAIT for a second nationals appearance.

For the second year in a row, Brent was honored with the CCAA Athlete of the Month representing  the ACAA in the sport of badminton.

Brent has been a member of the Mounties badminton team since 2005. In his first season he was voted the team rookie of the year, and by 2007 had attended his first national championship  hosted by Douglas College, BC .

A strong athlete in men's doubles, Brent went on to compete at the 2008 nationals hosted by Mount Allison and last year at Humber College in the 2009 event. Brent was also a co-winner of the Athlete of the Year on campus in 2009 and continues to be a team leader and co captain for his team in 2010. At the recent ACAA badminton championships, Brent along with brother Justin defended their men's doubles title once again, with a 3-0 record and will be heading to NAIT for the nationals.  Brent was also selected as the 2010 ACAA Male Player of the Year.
