Week Ending – January 17, 2010 Grace won the women singles (21-15 21-16) and doubles (21-13 19-21 21-17) with Samantha Wong event this past weekend for the Concordia Thunder. In mixed doubles, she and her partner, Jake Perry, finished in second place losing to the CCAA 2009 National Champions from NAIT in two very close games. Grace Box, a product of McNally High School in Edmonton, is in her third year of Sciences at Concordia University College of Alberta. |

Week Ending – January 17, 2010 Kenny Rauwerda’s offensive dominance in this weekend’s games makes him a team and league leader. With 56 kills on the weekend, Rauwerda broke a league record for the 2009-10 season. In Friday’s 3-2 victory over the Mount Royal Cougars he had 26 kills. On Saturday, the 6’5” right side outdid himself again logging 30 kills with 28 of those after 4 games. Furthermore, he recorded eight blocks and three service aces over the weekend. Rauwerda is leading the ACAC in kills, with 262 - 50 more than the second place holder. He also holds the seventh place in service aces and second in blocks.
