Day one wraps up at UBC-Okanagan at the 2010 CCAA Women’s National Basketball Championships

2010wbbNC(March 18th, 2010 - Kelowna, BC) The action started out early when Dawson College took on Lethbridge College in the first match up of the day. It was a tight game, but it was Dawson that took it in the fourth quarter, defeating Lethridge 79-75.

Players of the game were awarded to Dawson’s #10, Marlène Lapierre, with 21 points and Lethbridge’s #6 Paige Bowman with a stunning 30 points.

The second match up wraps up as MSVU defeats SAIT 67-65.  Players of the games were given to MSVU's #8 Katherine Brien and Player of the Year, #8 Kimberly Lee of SAIT.

The third match ends in a victory for Sainte-Foy as they defeated Host team UBC-Okanagan 79-70.  Players of the game went to #23 Madison Kaneda from UBC-O with 18 points and  #4 Marie-Line Petit from Sainte-Foy with 19 points.

The fourth match wrapped up as Sheridan College defeated Camosun College with a commanding win of 84-51.  Plyers of the game were awarded to #15 Chelsea McMullen of Camosun College and #10 Donisha Young of Sheridan College.

Game 10            12:00pm Loser of game 8 vs. winner of game 5

Game 11            2:00pm Loser of game 5 vs. loser of game 6 (5th/6th place)

Game 12            6:00pm Winner of game 9 vs. winner of game 10 (Bronze)

Game 13            8:00pm Winner of game 8 vs. winner of game 7 (Gold)
