CCAA Unveils New Logo
The Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) proudly launched their new corporate logo during their awards banquet at Holland College. The launch marks the beginning of a new era for the CCAA, one that looks to enhance the profile of Canadian amateur athletics in a big way.CCAA delegates from across the country were meeting in Charlottetown, PEI, planning and strategizing for the upcoming 2010-11 season at their annual general meeting. The awards banquet was kicked off with the unveiling of the logo by Sandra Murray-MacDonell – CCAA executive director, and Judy Smith – CCAA President.
Outgoing CCAA VP of Marketing, Mark Kosak, was heavily involved in the development process of the new logo and believes the new direction is one huge step in the right direction. “We’re extremely pleased to launch the initial piece of our new corporate brand, developed by internationally acclaimed logo designers Raja Sandhu and Bob Wolf, which is reflective of the new CCAA. It’s bold, it’s simple, and we believe it will be well received by our athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders and partners. This is the first step in a strong branding campaign that is set to commence during the 2010-11 CCAA season.”
Meetings concluded Thursday evening and CCAA delegates travelled back home with a new logo and anticipation for what’s to come in the upcoming season.
