CCAA and Raja Sandhu Strike Gold with Rebranding Partnership in 2010

RajaLogoRThe Canadian Colleges Athletic Association is proud to announce its newest partnership with Raja Sandhu Media Corp. who has been hired to aid in the rebranding of the CCAA.

Raja Sandhu will be responsible for the creation of the logo redesign, working closely with the CCAA’s marketing committee.

“Creative Director, Raja Sandhu has over 10 years of internationally renowned Brand Identity Design experience and a corporate client list that exceeds 2000.” An informal introduction by Tony Spaeth of Identity Works led the CCAA to Raja, who has created logos and brand identities for professional sports teams and companies in industries such as arts and entertainment, telecommunications, food and beverage, several web-based companies and numerous others.

Raja has inspired many in the design community leading to his work being published in international best selling design books and publications, ranging from the successful LogoLounge series, Entrepreneur Maga¬zine, and hundreds of online articles. He’s also been featured in many design galleries, including LogoPond.com, the largest showcase of logos online, where he went on to win logo of the year in 2008 (www.logopondawards.com), to the recent¬ly acclaimed book entitled Decoding Design (www.decodingdesign.com) which itself has gone on to receive several honours and awards.

Maggie Macnab, author of Decoding Design believes Raja is one of the worlds’ great young designers and had this to say,

“Raja Sandhu is a young and energetic designer, which he demonstrates in his work. Versatile and at times profound, his work is typically well matched to its task. Logo design is one of the most challenging aspects of graphic design and being both proficient and imaginative with it eludes many designers. Prior to the CCAA partnering with Raja Sandhu Media Corp., Raja made a new alliance of his own, with the CEO of Wolf Design Partners – Bob Wolf. “Meaningful and provocative, many of Bob’s logos are immediately recognizable. The Bank of America, Gillette, Qwest, BellSouth, Lockheed Martin, Exxon, Komatsu, United Parcel Service (UPS), RJ Reynolds, Navistar, Unisys and the Ford Motor Company are among those who have benefited from his talents”.

The CCAA is thrilled to be working with this team of incredibly talented designers who are equally excited for the final product. The new logo will communicate achievement, tradition, sport, academics, and moving forward, all while adding a Canadian flare.
