February 27 2012 – Canada’s best men’s volleyball teams will compete at the 2012 CCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championship in Abbotsford, B.C.

The CBC Bearcats, last year’s CCAA national champions, will host at Columbia Bible College March 8-10.

The 2012 CCAA Men’s National Volleyball Championship features the top eight men’s volleyball teams in Canada seeded in the following order:

1. Humber Hawks (OCAA gold)
2. Douglas Royals (PACWEST gold)
3. Mount Royal Cougars (ACAC gold)
4. Griffons d'Outaouais (RSEQ gold)
5. Red Deer Kings (ACAC silver)
6. CBC Bearcats (PACWEST host)
7. Volountaires de Sherbrooke (RSEQ silver)
8. STU Tommies (ACAA gold)

The CCAA Championship Awards Banquet will precede the competition, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7. The competition will begin Thursday, March 8 and runs through Saturday, March 10.

Thursday March 8
Game #1              1pm – Humber Hawks vs STU Tommies
Game # 2             3pm – Griffons Outaouais vs Red Deer Kings
Game # 3             6pm – Mount Royal Cougars vs CBC Bearcats
Game # 4             8pm – Douglas Royals vs Volontaires de Sherbrooke

Friday March 9
Game # 5             1pm – Losers of game 1 & 2
Game # 6             3pm – Losers of game 3 & 4
Game # 7             6pm – Winners of game 1 & 2 (semi-final)
Game # 8             8pm – Winners of game 3 & 4 (semi-final)

Saturday March 10
Game # 9             10am – Losers of game 7 & Winners of game 6
Game # 10          12pm – Losers of game 8 vs. Winners of game 5
Game # 11          2pm – Losers of game 5 & 6 (7th/8th place)
Game # 12          5pm – Winners of game 9 & 10 (Bronze Medal)
Game # 13          7pm – Winners of game 7 & 8 (Gold Medal)

The closing ceremony and awards rresentation will take place immediately following the final match.
