2011 CCAA Men's Volleyball Athletes of the Month
December 8, 2011 - The CCAA has released the CCAA Men’s Volleyball Athletes of the Month for November.
The CCAA Athlete of the Month program recognizes student-athletes for their outstanding event performance and athletic accomplishments during that month.
The distinction is bestowed upon a student-athlete in each conference participating in CCAA Volleyball. The five conferences are PACWEST (Pacific Western Athletic Association), ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference), OCAA (Ontario Colleges Athletic Association) RSEQ (Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec) and ACAA (Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association).
PACWEST
Milo Warren, VIU Mariners
The fifth-year left-side hitter’s November performance with the VIU Mariners included 57 kills, 11 digs, 5 blocks and 4 service aces in just two weekends. Warren’s consistency and ability the change a game has him nationally ranked for kills and his team on top of the CCAA national rankings.
ACAC
Colton deMan, Mount Royal Cougars
This third-year outside hitter has been dominating the court, racking up double-digit kills to earn a spot on the CCAA national statistics board. Not only is he a hard-working offensive player, he’s a well-rounded athlete known for his leadership on the court and in the classroom.
OCAA
Terrel Bramwell, Humber Hawks
November saw the third-year right side set a new OCAA single-game record with 36 kills. He was two points shy of his own OCAA single game points record, with one block and one service ace for 38 total points. Bramwell is currently leading the CCAA kills record with 6.53 per set.
RSEQ
Olivier Jannini, Limoilou Titans
As one of the Titans captains, Jannini has been a strong leader to a young team. He's not only led the squad to a 8-2 record, but is nationally ranked for kills and the second-best scorer in the RSEQ conference.
ACAA
Josh Drennan, STU Tommies
The second-year outside hitter has made a tremendous impact on his squad after transferring from the Tommies' basketball program. Armed with a great vertical and natural athleticism, he's averaged 8 kills per game.
