(Cornwall, Ont. - March 3th, 2010)   The country’s best male collegiate volleyball players will travel to Edmonton, Alberta for the 2010 CCAA Men’s National Volleyball Championship hosted by Grant MacEwan University from March 11-13th. 

The 2010 CCAA Men’s National Volleyball Championship features the top eight men’s volleyball teams in Canada, seeding in the following order.

1. Cégep Limoilou
2. SAIT Polytechnic
3. Camosun College
4. Humber College
5. University of British Columbia-Okanagan
6. Grant MacEwan University
7. Cégep de Saint-Jérome
8. University of New Brunswick-Saint John

The CCAA All Canadian Awards Banquet will precede the competition, beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10th. The competition will begin on the following day, March 11th, and will run through Saturday, March 13th. The schedule is as follows:

Thursday March 11th
Game #1              1pm – Limoilou vs. UNBSJ
Game # 2             3pm – Humber vs. UBC-O
Game # 3             6pm – Camosun vs. MacEwan
Game # 4             8pm – SAIT vs. Saint-Jerome

Friday March 12th
Game # 5             1pm – Losers of game 1 & 2
Game # 6             3pm – Losers of game 3 & 4
Game # 7             6pm – Winners of game 1 & 2 (semi-final)
Game # 8             8pm – Winners of game 3 & 4 (semi-final)

Saturday March 13th
Game # 9             10am – Losers of game 7 & Winners of game 6
Game # 10          12pm – Losers of game 8 vs. Winners of game 5
Game # 11          2:30pm – Losers of game 5 & 6 (7th/8th place)
Game # 12          5pm – Winners of game 9 & 10 (Bronze Medal)
Game # 13          7pm – Winners of game 7 & 8 (Gold Medal)

The Closing Ceremony and Awards Presentation will take place immediately following the final match.
