Keyano College’s Alwyn Piche is the winner of the 2009 CCAA Men’s Volleyball Player of the Year.

Playing the left side for the Huskies, Alwyn leads the ACAC in Kills and Aces.  In addition, during his three years with Keyano, the Huskies Captain has become their all time leader in Kills(778), Aces(99) and Digs(316).

As the leader on the team, Alwyn has helped create a social environment that is integral to a team’s success thus leading the Huskies to a berth at the CCAA National Championships for the first time.

Just as successful off the court, Alwyn has received numerous local, Provincial and National notices of recognition.  Fluent in the Den language, and a National Aboriginal Role Model, Alwyn attends a number of speaking engagements promoting the power of sport, wellness and education by sharing his own journey to success.
