NAIT Ooks Take 2011 CCAA Men's Soccer National Championships
November 12, 2011 - The 2011 CCAA Men Soccer National Championships culminated with a nail-biting final match that saw the NAIT Ooks of Edmonton, Alta. claim a national title.
The gold-medal game was a fitting end to an exciting national championship tournament; the NAIT Ooks had fought their way to the final for the second consecutive year after a silver finish at the 2010 CCAA Big Kahuna Men's Soccer National Championships. Their opponents for this year's title were the Holland Hurricanes, vying for their first ever gold medal in CCAA men's soccer.
The battle resulted in a 1-1 tie at the end of 90 minutes, requiring an additional 30 minutes of overtime play in wet weather. After two hours on the pitch the final score was 2-1 in favour of the NAIT Ooks.
