Canada’s Top Male Soccer Teams Head to Seneca College

msoccer(Cornwall, ON-) Seneca College is host to the 2009 Big Kahuna/adidas Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Soccer National Championships.  These National Championships will bring together and showcase the talents of Canada’s top collegiate soccer teams.  Soccer fans will be witness to exciting and intense play at Esther Shiner Stadium, in Toronto, ON November 4th-7th, 2009.

 

“The concentrated efforts and energies of Seneca student leaders, athletes, coaches and staff are coming together for the purpose of receiving Canada's best CCAA Men's Soccer teams,” says Linda Stapleton, the Athletic Director at Seneca College.  “From the point of arrival to departure, Seneca is committed to a quality athletic experience for all competitors and fans”.

The 2009 Big Kahuna/adidas CCAA National Soccer Championships features the country’s top six men’s teams who will compete for the CCAA Soccer title as well as the hard earned right to call themselves nationals champions.

• FQSE – Collège Francois-Xavier-Garneau
• ACAC- Mount Royal University 
• BCCAA – Douglas College
• OCAA – Algonquin College
• OCAA 2- Seneca College

The 5 day event kicks off on Tuesday, November 3rd with the CCAA All Canadian Awards Banquet commencing at 6:30pm at the Premier Ballroom and Conference Centre. 

The competition then begins on Wednesday, November 4th and runs through Saturday, November 7th.  All games will be played at the Esther Shiner Stadium.  The closing ceremonies attended by all teams will be held Saturday, November 7th after the gold medal game has been completed at Esther Shiner Stadium.
