Capilano win gold for an all BCCAA victory

capilanoDuring the men's gold medal game, whatever Capilano University Blues head coach Paul Dailly told his crew at half time should be bottled and sold to sports teams everywhere. The BC College Athletic Association champions stormed out of the dressing room after being down 3-1 to the Algonquin College Thunder.

The Blues then scored three unanswered goals in the second half. The game continued with impressive goals being scored on both sides. Capilano maintained a 6 to 4 lead. Algonquin added a goal in extra  time on a penalty shot (Loui Legaskis, Midfield, 5 th year, Ottawa, Ontario), but time ran out on the Ontario Champions. Capilano took home the gold after a 6-5 victory over the returning Algonquin finalist.

Dailly proudly displaying his gold medal afterwards stated "We are too good a team to be down that much at the half. The boys showed me what they were made of".
