2011 Men’s Basketball All Canadians
March 17, 2011 - The Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) proudly announced the CCAA Men's Basketball All Canadians at the Belair Direct CCAA All Canadian Awards Banquet in Oshawa, Ont.
Each award recipient is selected by their individual conference based on their performance and contribution to both their sport and their team.
Dominyck Coward, Lethbridge College
Dominyck Coward's hard work and leadership on the court set the tone for his team and it’s a major reason for the team’s success. He is the ACAC’s 2011 Player of the Year.
Inderbir Gill, University of Northern British Columbia
Inderbir Gill is a three-time CCAA All-Canadian and former CCAA Athlete of the Year Across All Sports. He’s been described by his coaches as an outstanding leader both on and off the court.
Boris Hadzimuratovic, Cégep de Sainte Foy
Third-year centre Boris Hadzimuratovic of Cégep de Saint Foy is a two-time All Star and former member of the Bosnian Junior National Team.
JD Howlett, University of King’s College
JD Howlett led the CCAA in scoring with 25.78 points per game and recorded an average of 14.11 rebounds per game during the current season.
Bol Kong, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology
Ooks guard Bol Kong is a solid player who made 85% of his free throws and has been active in youth basketball camps.
Donathan Moss, Holland College
Donathan Moss of Holland College is the ACAA Player of the Year. Moss has a reputation for scoring; he is second-ranked scorer in the league with a season high of 33 points in a single game.
Eric Smith, Durham College
Third-year player Eric Smith racked up impressive statistics for points, rebounds and free throws and was named OCAA’s 2011 Player of the Year.
Jacob Thom, Vancouver Island University
Former VIU Athlete of the Year Jacob Thom has consistently improved his game with the top-ranked Mariners; he led the BCCAA league in assists this season
Guillaume Payen-Boucard, Collège Ahuntsic
Guillaume Payen-Boucard of Collège Ahuntsic is the RSEQ’s MVP, a member of the All-Star team, and ranked first in scoring with an average of 21.1 points per game.
Njuguna Waiganjo, Algonquin College
Njuguna Waiganjo is a point guard who has worked to improve his skill level throughout his three years with the Algonquin Thunder. He had 42 steals in 18 games.
