Humber Hawks Top Canadian University and College Golf Rankings
November 24, 2011 - The Golf Coaches Association of Canada has ranked the Humber Hawks as the nation’s best post-secondary men's golf team.
Humber was a unanimous choice, receiving all 6 first place votes.
Other CCAA teams ranked in the top 20 were the Camosun Chargers (#10) the Holland Hurricanes (tied at #11) the Fraser Valley Cascades and the MacEwan Griffins (both tied at #17).
The Humber Hawk men’s team captured their third consecutive PING Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Golf National Championship title this year and also earned the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) team championship for the sixth year in a row.
On the women's side, the Durham Lords ranked seventh among Canada's top ten teams. The team took home gold at the 2011 PING CCAA Golf National Championships.
The 2012 Canadian University/College Golf Championship will be hosted by the University of Victoria from May 28th to June 1st, 2012 at Cordova Bay Golf Course in Victoria, B.C.
