2011 PING CCAA Golf National Championships Participants Confirmed

Golf200October 13, 2011 - The CCAA (Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association) has confirmed participants of the upcoming 2011 PING CCAA Golf National Championships.

 

Eighty-four student-athletes from 18 institutions will compete in the event, which takes place October 18-21 at Brudenell River Golf Course in Roseneath, P.E.I. The tournament is hosted by Holland College of Charlottetown, P.E.I.

“We consider Brudenell River Golf Course one of the best courses in Canada. It’s full of challenges and personality,” says Albert Roche, athletics director at Holland College. “We’re looking forward to an exciting week hosting great players from across Canada.”

The event includes three rounds of competitive golf, a skills competition and the CCAA Awards Banquet, where the 2011 CCAA Golf Coach of the Year will be announced.
 
Golf equipment manufacturer PING Canada is the official title sponsor of the national championship, as well as sponsor of the PING Skills Competition and the PING CCAA Fair Play Award. Male and female golfers will compete as individuals and in teams for CCAA trophies and medals.

With the number of participants growing every year, the rivalry among competitors is sure to intensify.
