CCAA Conference Golf Results
October 6, 2011 - The CCAA's five regional members conferences recently held golf tournaments in preparation for the 2011 PING CCAA Golf National Championships.
PACWEST
B.C.'s PACWEST conference held a golf invitational on October 1-2 hosted by the Camosun Chargers of Victoria, B.C. The Chargers' men's team is in close contention with the Capilano Blues in the 2011 season total. The last PACWEST golf invitational is hosted by the UFV Cascades October 8-9. PACWEST's current golf standings are available online.
ACAC
The Medicine Hat Rattlers hosted Alberta's the 2011 ACAC Golf Championship on October 2-3 at Desert Bloom Golf Course. The men and women's team results were identical, with the MacEwan Griffins earning gold, the Mount Royal Cougars taking silver and the Lethbridge Kodiaks finishing with bronze. Full results are available for the men and women's team competition, as well as the men and women's individual competition.
OCAA
The 2011 OCAA Golf Championship took place on October 3-5 hosted by St Lawrence - Cornwall. The men of the Humber Hawks continued their domination, taking gold in both the individual and team group competitions. The Durham Lords had identical results in the women's competition, also taking home double golds.
RSEQ
The 2011 RSEQ Golf Championship took place on October 1-2 at Lac St-Joseph Golf Club. The men of the Champlain St-Lawrence Lions took both the group and individual competition golds. Current 2010 PING CCAA Golf National Championship women's titleholder Josee Doyon, also of Champlain St-Lawrence, took the women's individual gold.
ACAA
The ACAA's third golf tournament of the season was held October 1-2 and hosted by the Holland Hurricanes, host of the upcoming 2011 PING CCAA Golf National Championships. The Hurricanes had been named top team at both of the ACAA's previous tournaments, and the pattern continued. Holland student-athletes took the men and women's team prizes, as well as two gold, two silver and one bronze medal in the individual competition.
