(Cornwall, ON - November 30, 2010) Six schools competing in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association's golf league have been ranked in the top 20 in a mid-season coaches poll compiled by the Post Secondary Golf Coaches Association of Canada (PSGCAC).

The Humber Hawks men's golf team (116 points) were ranked second among post secondary golf teams in Canada in a vote conducted on November 22, 2010. The Hawks were edged out by the Université Laval by one point. Both Humber and Laval received three of a possible six 1st place votes.

Humber's performance at the CCAA PING Golf Championships in October 2010 proved they're worthy of their standing - the team took gold and four Humber golfers finished in the top five in the men's individual competition.

Additional CCAA men's teams ranked in the top 20 were the University of Fraser Valley Cascades (90 points) Georgian College Grizzilies (50 points) Vancouver Island University Mariners (50 points) and Camosun College Chargers (38 points). All five teams were ranked in the top 15.

Other CCAA teams receiving votes were the Mount Royal University Cougars, Durham College Lords, and Holland College Hurricanes.

The PSGCAC ranked the Durham College Lords (27 points) in sixth place among Canadian women's teams. The Durham women took home a team gold at the CCAA Ping Golf Championships. The University of Victoria Vikes were place first with 58 points.
