October 24, 2011 - The 2012 CCAA Cross Country Running Open Championship will be hosted by Champlain College – St. Lambert in St. Lambert, Que.

Separate men and women’s races will be conducted on Saturday, November 10, 2012.

Don Shewan, director of Champlain College-St. Lambert, is an enthusiastic supporter of the championship event. "I am aware of the benefits and opportunities of hosting such an event; not only for student-athletes but for all students who have a unique opportunity to practice what they learn in the classroom."

Now in its tenth year, the CCAA Cross-Country Open Championship has enjoyed increased involvement each year. The 2010 event hosted by St. Thomas University in Fredericton, N.B. attracted 273 runners from 30 schools across Canada.
