Chris Howe earns spot on Team Canada’s Junior National Team Volleyball Canada has announced that Heat freshman Chris Howe is among the 14 players selected to participate at the 11-country 2010 NORCECA Junior Men’s Continental Championship set for August 16-21 at the national team training in Gatineau, Que.
CCAA Unveils New Logo   The Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) proudly launched their new corporate logo during their awards banquet at Holland College. The launch marks the beginning of a new era for the CCAA, one that looks to enhance the profile of Canadian amateur athletics in a big way.
Mike Lindsay Named 2010 CCAA Athletic Director of the Year The CCAA honours an Athletic Director for their leadership and commitment to excellence on an annual basis.   As always, there were several deserving candidates however one stood out and has been awarded the 2009-2010 CCAA Athletic Director of the Year Award.  
Congratulations to Durham College, CCAA Community Service Award Recipient! The CCAA Community Service Award is designed to recognize an institution that has developed a successful community relations program.

Heat kick off 2010 exhibition schedule with trip to Coast

Heat_to_the_CoastThe UBC Okanagan Heat men’s soccer team made the trek to Vancouver this weekend with an opportunity to play a couple of exhibition games versus the UBC Thunderbirds and a North Vancouver Metro league all star team.

A New Look for the CCAA!

(Cornwall, Ontario – June 18, 2010)  Over 50 delegates and guests from across Canada met in scenic Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island for the 2010 Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) Annual General Meeting. It was fitting that the CCAA was in the birthplace of Canada with the dawn of the new CCAA logo.  The new sleek and clean trademark for the CCAA was met with favoured review during its unveiling.
