The Ralph King Athletic Centre is located right on the Concordia University of Edmonton campus, and will serve as the championship venue. The features of the athletic center include a gymnasium that is 10,702 square feet, with a clearance height of 31 feet. There is permanent bleacher seating for approximately 500 spectators, and the gym floor is sprung hardwood. There will be three sport courts for all competitive courts and a minimum of one other court available for warm-up and practice throughout the tournament.
Approximately a 15 minute drive away from downtown Edmonton and sitting at the top of the river valley, Concordia University of Edmonton has a population of approximately 2150 students in a mixture of full and part time studies. Concordia Thunder athletics has a proud history of excellence at the highest levels both provincially and nationally. The Thunder have been a part of the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference (ACAC) since 1992 and have more than 200 student-athletes representing the school in the sports of badminton, basketball, cross country running, curling, golf, hockey, indoor track, soccer, and volleyball.
