Seeding Revealed for 2014 CCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championship

The competition is set for the 2014 CCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championship taking place March 5-8 at the Yara Centre FieldHouse in Moose Jaw, Sask.

Eight teams from across the country will fight for a shot at the CCAA national championship title.

It was a tough matchup in B.C.'s PACWEST conference, with the Douglas Royals overcoming the top-ranked CBC Bearcats in a 3-1 gold medal match. Both teams will attend as conference champion and wildcard.

In Alberta, the legendary Red Deer Kings qualified for their fifth consecutive CCAA national championship; they're already 10-time titleholders! As hosts the ACAC's Briercrest Clippers are guaranteed a host berth.

Ontario's provincial championship also resulted in an upset; the Mohawk Mountaineers overcame the Humber Hawks in a 5-set gold medal game to qualify for their first CCAA national championship in six years. The Humber Hawks will also attend as a wildcard.

Meanwhile, the Cheminots de St. Jerome surprised the Titans de Limoilou in a 3-1 gold-medal game, reversing the result of their previous match just two weeks before.
